Iggy Pop

I'm a really wild child. I'm still kicking against the pricks. I'm still wearing my tight blue. I'm still naked on top. I'm still fucking lap dancers in LA. And, I'm still much older than you. So, fuck off!

Made in Heaven

The founders of Made in Heaven that was a big hit during the 70s look fabulous in their own stuff at this picture. She looks so Swedish Erotica, like an english version of Agneta Fältskog in Abba... And his denim shirt is stunning, worn and washed a thousand times.

Ramones

Ramones launched their debut album 1976 dressed in their trademark skinny ripped blue jeans, black leather jackets and  worn in tight tees. Punkrockers, poprockers or poppunkers..., still denim icons! In the pic above they look quite gayish though, but still cute.
This is the way we use to see them. I guess Joey, Johnny and Dee Dee waits for their friends on earth to join them in heaven and brighten it with a uber speedy Blitzkrieg Bop. Joey, is jeans the way to go in heaven? Is God okey with it? Give me a sign if so. A comment? A lot of people wonder.

Mods

Mods with parkas, Dr Martens and high tide fold up Levi's 505 . Levi's launched them in 1967. A timeless coolness. Look at the redline. Go to Tokyo and buy a pair of worn in originals from the 60s for a fortune or buy a replica from Levi's Vintage Collection. The one's I bought where sanforized which I don't really fancy... Keep it real!

Keith Richards

Jeans jacket with a perfect fit. Wonder what Keith has in mind. What the fuck is Mick doing?

Bob Dylan on his bike

I like this shot of Bob Dylan and his bike. And his jeans. And his lumber jacket. And his boots. and his hair. And his sombre expression. Where are you going, Bob?

Jane & Serge

Serge looks sober and genuinely happy in his denim uniform with his dick to the left. Jane just beams. Elegant in her denim shorts.

Jane Birkin

Another stunning picture of Jane Birkin. High waist jeans, white tee and straw hat... Kids with braces. This is the life we all are looking for; somewhere in Provence at a wishing well with your kids... At the end of the day, life is about capturing sweet moments like this.

John Lennon

It doesn't really work for me, but it's ok. It's still John Lennon. Still pleated front on his jeans jacket. But I can't see which brand it is. Anybody?

George Harrison

George Harrison was a denim freak during the 70s. High waist & tuck in shirt and his arms as an extension of his hair. Weird, but in a balance somehow. Only when you are slim Mr Bottle Neck. Only then.

Steve Mcqueen

Steve Mcqueen in full denim suit. A Wrangler Blue Bell shirt (27 MW) which they launched in 1952. Wrangler still do replicas of this one. I love mine. There is another picture of him at this moment that I have in a book, where you can see more of his lovely jeans as well, and his sweet boots.

Marilyn Monroe

There is something with these old jeans that is hard to find now. Looks so solid and strong, which will create beautiful patterns on the front. Marilyn has folded her jeans just like in any picture.

Marilyn & James Dean & Jeans

Marilyn in fold up jeans as always. This is from the movie Clash by night.
From the movie The Misfits. Early 60s.
Another one from The Misfits. If anyone can find more shots from this movie please send to me. They are just beautiful. Miss Blondes second last movie. We will never forget you, Miss Jeans Godess.

Marlon Brando

A denim icon. Pictures from the classic denim movie The wild ones. I once read the book Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates. A book about Marilyn Monroe. In the book Brando was the only one who was not portrayed as a bloodsucker. He was the only one she could trust. Thanks, Brando. Thanks for being idealist. There are not many out there anymore.

Jackson Pollock again

Denim as work wear. Art wear.

Jackson Pollock

There is not much to say... Can it get better than this? A broken car, broken soul and broken, worn in denim. So good that it hurts...

Jane Birkin

Jane Birkin, the muse of Serge Gainsbourgh, starts off this blog. There is something with the effortless way she always wears her denim. Just like these lovely faded flare ones. From Serge's album cover "histoire de melodie nelson." I guess a lot of girls would kill for these pair of jeans. I would.
